Day 297
Last night Britt couldn't sleep, so she stayed up until one, scrubbing the grout in the kitchen with the toothbrushes and Oxy Clean she bought...until she broke both toothbrushes and went to a bigger scrubber. (Tooth brushes work better because they are softer and the perfect size) She said it was the last act of service she could do while it was still Amberly's house, something she could do for Am that she would have done if she could. The change was amazing! She did the laundry room and boys' bathroom tile today. We cleaned, dusted, vacuumed and did laundry, and after the boys came home from school it took us about an hour to get everything loaded and ready to leave. The trip home was, as you can imagine, WILD. Unbelievably loud with 6 boys. We rented a couple of movies, only to find out that their DVD player didn't work. Jesse was asleep for only a little while before the kids' fighting woke him up, and then he was very unhappy the rest of the way. We stopped to separate the twins and to switch drivers so Britt could more easily take care of Jesse, and by the time we got home, 3 boys were in time out for 4 minutes each. No Angry Birds either. We were going to take them to McDonalds to play and have dinner, but they lost that privilege and we had Mac 'n Cheese at home instead. They watched Kung Fu Panda 2 and then went to bed in the family room, with the usual warnings and whinings. Day 2 survivied. A blessing.

Wow...Britt...what a wonderful act of service and love! You are amazing, and I'm sure that the tile looks beautiful.

You guys are like Merry Maids!! I sure hope that all your work and sacrifice is appreciated. If it's not, come on over here and do all that and I'll be VERY appreciative!!

Cute, sweet, loveable boys. I hope that you were able to laugh at the situation instead of bursting into tears from the chaos. You are truly an angel, and I kind of think that Amberly is laughing right along with you!
