Christmas Letter 2008

It’s hard to believe it’s time again to look back and celebrate,
The important events and feelings we had in the year 2008.
Can it be that time is speeding up, or that we merely are getting slow –
How do our babies grow up so fast, we just really want to know?
Our youngest grandchild, little CJ, is turning one on Boxing Day;
Looking like Jon with Britt’s bright eyes, he steals our hearts away.
Nathan, who is so sweetly natured, turns two in no time at all,
He’s talking well, keeps up with the guys, proving he’s no longer small.
The twins Aaron and Collin, a whopping four and a half years of age,
Go to preschool and keep their parents busy in this very lively stage!
Davin, big brother, is six and a bit, and is artistic like his mother,
His Reflections entry went to Region and he loves reading like no other!
Morgyn, our not-so-little-grand-daughter, in April will be turning six,
She loves Kindergarten, playing pretend—anything Princess just clicks!
Tyler, is our ball of energy, a lucky seven year old in 1st grade,
He’s nimble and quick, our #1 pick, with the fastest legs ever made!
Cameron, now ten, is in 4th grade and charms the girls and every teacher,
By getting school awards and being polite, his smile being his best feature.
Dell and Tremayne have their “kids” too, namely their dogs Bisou and Moose,
Meow Mix and Foxxy, their felines, make up a lively pack on the loose!
Zac can now take on his Dad as a daunting security guard at E-Bay,
And you can find both of them playing in the snow on any given day!
We love our children, but it’s obvious to all, that our grandkids steal the show;
There’s nothing like their smiles and hugs to set weary hearts aglow.
We love to travel as a group—this spring found us in Arches once more.
Dave will do anything with them for fun, and I’m good for whatever’s in store.
I’ve been to Canada three times visiting Mom, who fights like a trooper,
To keep her health and be involved—at Scrabble she is still quite super!
One trip was for Dave’s work in June, where we stayed on quaint Mackinaw Isle,
Then ferried and drove and visited family that we hadn’t seen for a while.
Our year has been one of rich blessings, of children grown in spirit and mind;
I’ve learned to blog, so visit our site, where our daughter’s links you can find.
We love this season of sharing, to worship our Savior and honor His birth;
Seeing the dazzling lights and glitter reflected in snow upon the earth.
We hope the love that we feel for you will be reflected in your hearts,
With the light and warmth of friendship and all that this season imparts.
