A Gift

I chose this picture taken at Thanksgiving Point for my heading because it reminded me of Amberly. She loved nature and would have done the same thing at that age, dipping her toes into the stream. Notice, if you will, the 'gift' that was left on the girl's head. Yes, Amberly felt that way too. She thought that she was being 'pooped on', because she had to suffer so much. When I would ask her how she was dong and it was a bad day, she would say, "Poopy!" When I'm having a bad day, I tend to think of her and my pain scale is still just a 1 in comparison, and I just can't complain. That's the one thing that brings me great comfort, she won't ever have to feel that way again. And what a gift that is.
