Tuesday, Day 185

Early last evening the power went out and stayed out, until almost 4 this morning. At first it was lovely just having candlelight, but after a while we were bored with no TV and just went to bed. (Candle power is not good for reading with these old eyes.) Then this morning it took a while to reset the clocks and timers, and so far the internet is still down and our Direct TV does not work. We've been on the phone for hours with no success. Do you think things have gotten too complicated if it takes so much effort to get our lives "back on line'? Simplicity certainly has its allure...and then maybe we would get back into talking to each other more. Just a thought.
