Punch and Pinkies

Day 52 - Tuesday- May 10th

These are my Activity Days girls (most of them). Today we talked about minding your p's and q's. We had fun learning about where that saying came from, learning how to introduce people, playing games and of course drinking Punch with Pinkies in the air! Here is the poem I made for them for the occasion!

Mind your P’s and Q’s
Pleasant, without Question, is the lady we can mention
That knows how to mind her manners: P’s and Q’s.
She sits Quietly and listens while another one is sPeaking,
And Politely, interruPtions she’ll excuse.

She won’t Quarrel with another, unkind words she will smother,
As she's only most eQuitable and fair.
She siPs her drinks Quite Queenly, would never act unseemly,
And remembers to have her Pinky in the air!

Her demeanor, so Proper and Polite, she is a Pure delight,
And so Pleasing to her Parents and her friends.
In Public or Private Quarters, she Quickly obeys her orders,
And is ever loving and Quick to make amends.

This lady now in Question, that we even dare to mention,
May seem Quite imPossible ever to become.
But with Quiet Prayers and thought, don’t be overwrought,
For you are Queens in the making, everyone!
