Cool Shades at Arches

On May 2nd our whole family went to Moab for our annual "Arches Adventure." We have been doing regular trips there as far back as the kids can remember. And it all started back when Dave and I got married, had no money and went there for our long weekend honeymoon! Back in "those days" it was not such a hot spot to visit like it is now. Dave didn't think we needed reservations, but when we got there, found out there was a police convention in town, and the only room avalable was in the APACHE Motel where John Wayne stayed probably a half century ago. It was June, HOT, the air conditioner was pitiful, the tiny pool growing green stuff and empty! Not such a good start, but the red rocks have lured us back again and again!


We were so excited about our family trip to Arches that we HAD to buy the grandkids sunglasses! We all thought they looked pretty cool in them. The cousins LOVED hanging out together!
